Today the kids have the day off. So Em and her best friend are sitting here watching Spy Kids 4. Can I tell you how incredibly awful this movie is? Jeremy Piven, Joel McHale, and Ricky Gervais’s voice can’t help it one bit. It’s just awful. But they’re rapt. Also? Alexa Vega looks odd. Did she have work done?
We went to the nephew’s birthday party on Sunday. It wasn’t until 3pm and it was 2 hours away, so that doesn’t make for a great day. We had to rush to get back and get food at the same time. Ug. The party was fine. It was a “ninja” party. It was at this place that was labeled as a church, but I think it was supposed to be a cheerleading, gymnastics, etc place. The lady that did it was a friend of Chris’s sister and she did everything. Mostly it was a bunch of games that were very loosely related to ninja stuff. Everyone seemed to have a good time, though, so that’s good. She had to miss her makeup soccer game, though. Last Saturday the game was rained out, so they rescheduled it for Sunday at 3pm. Oh well. Her last game should be this coming Saturday. Then she’s got a birthday party after that! Luckily the timing worked out well on that one. Her game’s at 10:30 and the party isn’t until 2. There’s even plenty of time for lunch!
Friday night she had a lock-in with the Girl Scouts at the local bounce house. She had so much fun! She was there all night long and got to sleep ON a bouncy. They played laser tag and Em loved it. When I went to pick her up, all the kids looked fine. The adults looked ROUGH though! Hehe!
Oh, I have another new recipe to share. It’s Rosemary Chicken with Balsamic Glazed Onions…or something like that. I’ll try and remember to post it later. It was an easy one. Em even liked the chicken (though not the onions, typically). Speaking of food, I’m trying to figure out if I wanna order pizza for the girls for lunch. I’d probably order chicken wings. It’s a large lunch (points-wise) for me, but we’re just doing soup and grilled cheese for dinner, so it’d probably be fine. I guess I’ll go ahead and do that. … Oh well. So much for that. I asked the girls if they wanted pizza. They said yes. Then Em’s friend says, “Not Marco’s!” She’d rather have a random sandwich at home. Oh well.
