Whoa! Three in one day!

Tell me something, people of the internet:  Why do authors use pseudonyms as well as their regular names when writing books?  I get that maybe they want to branch out a bit into a different genre and not have their past work influence their new series.  But what about when they tell you up front, exactly what you’re getting?  What’s the point of that?  I’ll give you an example and the reason I was thinking about this.

I got a Kindle last Christmas.  Since then, I found this website called Pixel of Ink.  They do posts all the time of cheap and free ebooks that you can download.  Anything that looks vaguely interesting and is free, I download.  Yes, a lot of it’s crap, but hey–it was free!  Anyway, this one just came up in my feed:

You see why I’m confused?  It says:

Writing as Tina St. John.

I mean, why bother?

ETA:  I’ve no idea why the formatting looks so frakked up here.  It looks fine in editing, but it posts this way.  Jeez, I was just trying to make a point.
