Tuesday – Hollywood Studios
Tuesday, we had breakfast in the room. I had an apple and a banana and we forgot to stop by and get my yogurt, so I was pretty hungry most of the day. We got to Hollywood Studios (HS) before it opened, but wasted some time getting our picture made out front. We always take advantage of the PhotoPass opportunities. Last time, none of them were fab, so we didn’t buy it. I haven’t looked yet for this time. We got into the park about 5 minutes before it officially opened. Not sure why since it wasn’t EMH, but there ya go. We immediately headed over to Rock ‘n Roller Coaster. We got FPs and then rode. We headed over to to the Tower of Terror and then back for more Rock ‘n Roller Coaster. Em, the Coaster Queen, loved it. It is an awesome ride. It’s also a bit jerky and gives me a headache. Luckily, it didn’t last too long. After that, we went to get FPs for Toy Story Mania. This ride still is one of the busiest rides at Disney. No idea why since it’s exactly like the Wii game of the same name and a really lot like the Buzz Lightyear ride at MK.
After Toy Story, we wandered over to meet Ralph and Vanellope. Em had on her Sugar Rush tee and Vanellope was very excited to see it! Then we stood in line to see Sorcerer Mickey. After that, we saw the Magic of Disney Animation. Em loved this one for some reason. It was cute. We then went to do lunch at the ABC Commissary. Again, we were going to do somewhere new, but it was convenient. After lunch , we went to do Star Tours. They were refurbing this one when we were last there. It’s really good now! After that, we did the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular since Em has seen the movies now. We then went to see Phineas and Ferb over near Mama Melrose. Em was too excited. After that, it was MuppetVision 3D and then the Beauty and the Beast Live Show. It was weird. Em liked it a lot, but I thought it was strange. After that, we did the Studio Backlot Tour. Here we had the same trouble we had all through the parks all week: REALLY loud Brasilians. Okay, I’m sorry you don’t understand English enough to understand what they’re saying, but that doesn’t meant you should talk non-stop and LOUDLY through the entire thing. They were so loud, we couldn’t hear ANY of the commentary. Grrrrrr! After this, we used our FPs for Toy Story Mania.
By then it was time for our ADR for dinner at Mama Melrose. This one was SO good last time we went. They were super friendly and the food was really good. Not so much any more. Our waitress came up and asked us where we were from. When we said Georgia, she insulted us. Later, she spilled water all over the table and some on Em. The food was okay, but not great and the portion of mine was small. I had spaghetti and meatballs. Dessert was good, though, but it was just cheesecake for me. I ate all of it, I was so hungry. After this, we hurried over to see Fantasmic. We’d never made it before. We got it when it was “Standing Room Only” which really means you get the shitty seats in the back that aren’t elevated enough to see over the people in the “real” seats. It had turned cold that evening and we didn’t have jackets, so we were all freezing. We were also right in front of an usher-person who was right in our way. Despite that, the show was good. We plan on making it a priority next time and getting real seats. After that we headed back to the hotel for the night.
In this last picture, Emily couldn’t get over that Phineas & Ferb were making a movie called “We’re Making a Movie: The Movie.”
